Business Development

GVI performs theatre consulting and business services for clients in the public and private sectors. Our clients include not for profit boards of directors, municipalities, investment groups, and individuals who wish to purchase or manage theatres. The business plans for theatres can include not only the theatre itself but addresses parking, retail, and residential space if necessary.

Fund Raising
GVI can assist the client with conventional financing or create scenarios to raise capital through the sale of Limited Liability Company “Units,” common stock, or more traditional bank loans. GVI will work with municipalities that currently have or can create “TIF” districts to provide long term funding for theatre projects. GVI also has an exclusive “Historic Tax Credit Syndication Program” that allows the entity to sell tax credits in a more competitive manner pursuant to IRS codes.

Legal Structures / Formations
GVI reviews each project individually and offers business solutions with its own attorney and the client’s local attorney and accountant to determine the best system of “ownership and operation.” This frequently will involve a hybrid of for-profit and not-for-profit entities. Careful scrutiny of the financial needs of the principals is carefully assessed.
